Hiking allows you to get into nature while keeping fit at the same time. We’re lucky to live in Ireland which is home to some of the most beautiful hills and mountains around. To start off with, and based on your fitness, you may like to start with some of the easier walks and trails, before tackling some of the more strenuous hikes.
Almost anywhere in Ireland. If you live in an urban setting you might have to travel a short distance, but you shouldn’t have to travel far to reach your nearest trail.
Hiking is free, but you may need to invest in some hiking boots and suitable clothing including wet gear to allow you to hike in any weather conditions.
Hiking is ideal for everyone including beginners who may not be all that fit, and those who have a higher fitness level.
