If you have an Android phone and want to get to grips with its security and safety features, here’s your one stop shop!
Blocking unknown numbers will mean that only numbers saved to your phone will be able to contact you. To do this, open the Call app . Select the Phone icon button > More on the top right hand side of the screen > Call blocking > block list (this will allow you to add numbers to your block list). Slide to the right the "Block anonymous call" slider. You can also add in other phone numbers here that you'd like to auto block.
When you receive a text or a call from a phone number you’d like to block, select the number, and press the Menu button. Select "Add to reject list".
Your location settings manage whether your phone and apps are allowed to access and use your location. Go to Settings and select Location. There's a slider bar at the top of this screen, with an icon that says "Location". Tap to select or unselect.
It’s really important to set up a passcode or touch ID on your phone, to make sure nobody else can access all the personal information on it.
In the "apps" section, select and hold an app icon with your finger, keep holding and drag to the "app info" icon at the top of the screen. This will open a new screen with details of the permissions this particular app has.
