Eat Well, Feel Well

Moving into your own space for the first time and making sure you're eating well can be a challenge.'s Eat Well, Feel Well campaign focuses on helping young people make quick, easy and healthy food to fill and fuel. So it's time to ditch the frozen pizzas and fast food in favour of healthy meals which will help you excel inside and outside the lecture theatre!

We have over 50 recipes and videos and you'll be able to choose meals and snacks based on cost, time, feeling and ingredient. These recipes have been created in association with and MABS to make sure they are both healthy and cost-friendly.

In partnership with USI, Safe Food and Disney, the Eat Well, Feel Well campaign will aim to get y’all cooking healthy meals and snacks, sharing cooking tips and skills via a series of online videos.

Our deputy director, John Buckley, will be bringing the Disney movie “Ratatouille” to several college campuses during September. The film features a loveable rat making food to the philosophy that “anyone can cook”. The screenings will run along with a healthy eating workshop and sharing of healthy snacks.

How can you get involved

Competition time! We want you to share your mad cooking skills on Snapchat with us on and you could be in with a chance to get your hands on a fantastic prize pack including a 5 x€50 food vouchers, copies of The Happy Pear and Derval O’Rourke’s cook books and Disney’s Ratatouille. You can enter the competition by adding us on Snapchat (username: and send pictures or videos of your cooking skills and/or healthy meals.
