The European Youth Event 2018 (EYE2018) is taking place on the 1st and 2nd of June 2018 at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France. At this event, young adults from across Europe will come together to discuss how to address the challenges Europe is facing.

The European Parliament has launched a call for young reporters to cover the whole event, highlighting the most concrete ideas discussed and collecting them in an EYE report. The European Parliament is looking for two chief editors of English mother tongue, 5 specialist reporters and 3 generalist reporters. Your report could serve as an inspiration for the European Parliament and will provide them with a clear view of young people’s concerns, dreams and future perspectives.

How to apply

  • To be eligible for this, you should be an EU national, between the age of 18 and 30 years old.
  • You will need to submit a video in English of up to 100 seconds detailing your personal motivation to work on this project. The video has to be uploaded on Vimeo or YouTube and the link inserted in the application form.
  • You need to be available before the event to participate in the preparatory meetings with the EYE organisational team and the EYE report editorial team. A preparatory meeting will be held in Brussels between 9th and 13th April 2018.
  • The deadline to apply is Sunday 21st January 2018, 12:00 CET (That’s 11:00 Irish time)
