Social Democrat Party launch their Youth Manifesto
The event taking place tomorrow will address youth issues like higher education and mental health
The Social Democrats will launch their ‘Youth Manifesto’ with Dublin Central candidate Cllr. Gary Gannon and Dublin Mid-West candidate Anne-Marie McNally in the Project Arts Centre tomorrow (Feb 23rd) at 11am.
Speakers at the event will include Kevin Donoghue (President of the Union of Students in Ireland), James Doorley (Deputy Director of the National Youth Council of Ireland), Sinéad Mercier (Activist with Young Workers Network and Young Friends of the Earth).
The launch will cover areas of Social Democrat policy that young party supporters prioritised as crucial; including higher education, mental health, ensuring fair work, affordable housing, climate change and repealing the 8th amendment.
The two candidates, Garry and Anne-Marie, will launch the Youth Manifesto, followed by a Q & A from media, and then an interactive panel discussion on key issues affecting young people with all attending.
