USI are making a submission to the Low Pay Commission on February 9th on the National Minimum Wage. The Commission are seeking submissions in relation to the National Minimum Wage.

USI want to hear from you and your experience of working during college, or as a recent graduate. USI are looking for stories on issues of pay, hours of work, zero-hour contracts, unpaid work, working during college, issue of cost of living, receiving the SUSI grant, burden of fees, issues with rent, travel or other means of living, emigration for better paid work, experiences of working and academic life etc. Your case study will be included in USI's submission to the Low Pay Commission.

This is 100% confidential. Your details will not be shared (only your college) unless you have indicated otherwise in the form below.

As a living wage organisation, USI will be calling for the gradual move towards a living wage of €11.50 per hour. This is the average gross salary required by a single individual (without dependents) in full-time employment to afford a socially acceptable minimum standard of living across Ireland.

You can find out more about USI's previous submisison here. Any questions please contact Dan Waugh on [email protected].
