From 19th to 23rd August 2013, the WIMPS project will be running a Summer Media Camp in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter. Any young people from Belfast or the Irish border counties, aged 13 – 18 can apply.

100 people will gather to create their own content on the theme, “Participation and Democracy”. Young people, their coaches and youth workers from Belfast and the border counties will join together for this incredible week of creativity. Want to find out more about WIMPS? The events will be held in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter and the final day there will be a public exhibition of the projects.

All food and refreshments will be paid for. People from the Irish border counties ( Monaghan, Donegal, Louth, Cavan) will have their accommodation costs covered (4 nights) and all other activities will be covered.

WIMPS will request a donation of €50 at least from people from the Irish border counties (this covers food and accommodation) and at least £20 from people from Belfast and £50 at least from people from other parts of Northern Ireland who require accommodation.

All participants will be expected to have parental/guardian consent. If chosen for the camp permission forms will be sent to participants. No one under 18 may participate without parental/guardian approval.
