If you are an adult with literacy problems, the National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA) provide services that can help improve your reading and writing skills.

What is the Distance Learning Service?

NALA’s distance learning service allows you to improve your reading and writing skills from your own own home. It allows you to:

  • Study online by yourself
  • Work with a tutor over the phone

How does it work?

  • NALA will work with you for 1, 2 or 50 sessions, depending on what you need.
  • They will tailor the course based on your needs. They’ll talk you through all your options.
  • You can start learning right away by logging onto www.writeon.ie.

Does it cost anything?

No, it is free and confidential.

How can I start?

You can call NALA now on 1800 20 20 65 or text 'LEARN' to 50050. It is free to call and text them.
