The Rise Foundation

The RISE Foundation supports family members of those with addictive behaviour (alcohol, drugs, gambling, food or sex addiction).

RISE stands for "Recovery In a Safe Environment". The foundation are dedicated to helping family members to free themselves from the stress, anxiety and worry of having a loved one with addictive behaviour and to understand the nature of addiction and the profound effects it has on relationships.

Aiséirí Treatment Centres

Aiséirí provides community and residential services to help young people, adults and families overcome addiction and lead meaningful lives in recovery.

Their services include residential services, family programmes, recovery retreats, and outreach to individuals, communities, schools and businesses who would like to learn more about addiction. 

Their Adolescent Addiction Treatment Centre, Aiséirí Aislinn (located Kilkenny), provides treatment for young people between the ages of 15 and 21 years living with the destructive impact of alcohol, drugs and/ or gambling.

They have four treatment centres around the country including Wexford, Waterford, Kilkenny and Tipperary. Find contact information for the different centres on their website.

The Drugs Treatment Centre Board, as the largest and longest established Addiction Treatment (Day) Centre in the country, provides a broad range of specialist treatments for a variety of drug using populations and those requiring specialist psychiatric, psychological, social and medical interventions.

Hope House Addiction Treatment Centre

Hope House is a Rehabilitation Centre specialising in the treatment of alcohol, drugs, gambling and other dependencies. All prospective residents must be assessed prior to admission. Treatment The programme at Hope House is designed so that residents learn to become responsible for their own recovery. The treatment programme provides the tools and principles needed for living a sober and contented life. The 30 day programme adopts a holistic approach and provides individual counselling, family counselling, educational input, relaxation, meditation, and spiritual enrichment. The programme is broadly based on the Minnesota Model with Twelve Step work at its foundation. Cognotive Behavioural Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy and Motivational Enhancement are among other approaches used.
