Positive Options.ie was created to promote State-funded crisis pregnancy counselling services. Its stated aim is to make women aware of the existence of a range of high-quality, State-funded, crisis pregnancy counselling services that can assist them in finding a resolution to a crisis pregnancy. Positive Options does not provide medical or counselling services directly.
Nurture support services include: One to one counselling, Telephone Support, Skype counselling, Facilitated support groups for post-natal depression, traumatic birth and grief, Resilience skills for every day living. Nuture services are affordable and accessible, with a No Wait List policy.
Here2Help provides a range of information and support around parenting before as well as after the birth of the child. This includes legal information, support around social welfare applications and housing, referral to other relevant support services, etc. As a registered adoption agency Here2Help provides a full adoption service to anyone wishing to explore this option. This includes a temporary foster care option after the birth of the child to allow time for a final decision to be made.
If requested, contact details of abortion clinics will be given as part of a face to face crisis pregnancy counselling session in which all choices are discussed – parenting, adoption and abortion. Counselling and support is available to anyone involved in a crisis pregnancy situation, including partners, family members and others. Counselling and support following an abortion (whether immediately or years later) is provided for anyone involved, including partners and family members.
Parents phone Parentline with all sorts of problems. There is no typical call. Calls come from parents of new born babies, toddlers, pre-teens and teenagers – children of all ages. All ages offer different challenges.
One Family are Ireland's organisation for one-parent families. They provide expert advice and support to people parenting alone or sharing parenting through their services, helpline and training. They also campaign to make life better for one-parent families.
One Family also offer a non-directive three option counselling and support service to anyone experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. They provide full information on all three options, with ongoing support following the client’s decision, including Post Termination Counselling. There is no cost for these services. Appointments are available within one to three days.

The Counselling Service provides a confidential, respectful space for people to explore their life issues, and offers a holistic approach to counselling by acknowledging that people have physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual needs. Please ring for apt.

The Centre provides a number of different services including: Individual Therapy/Counselling, Parenting Work, Family Work, Therapeutic Work with Children, Behaviour Management, Bereavement, Separation/Loss Referrals come from a number of professionals such as Social Workers, Teachers, GPOs and Public Health Nurses. Treoir is the National Specialist Information Service for unmarried parents and their children providing clear and up-to-date information free of charge to parents who are not married to each other and to those involved with them. They aim to promote the welfare of and improve the standards of care for unmarried parents and their children.
A Government Agency that provide legal and other information on adopting, giving a child up for adoption both in Ireland and internationally. The Agency also has information for tracing from 1953. Provides for the permanent transfer of parental rights and duties from the birth parents to the adoptive parents.
