AsIAm have launched the #KeepieUppieChallnge this week, with the aim to raise awareness and funds for the Irish Autism charity.

Launched on Monday by former professional footballer Damien Duff, the challenge involves taking a video of yourself while you try to keep a ball in the air for as long as possible and challenging your friends to do the same, and asking viewers to donate €4 to AsIAm.

How to take part in the #KeepieUppieChallenge

To take part in the #KeepieUppieChallenge, you’ll need a ball, a camera, and possibly someone to film you.

Try to keep the ball in the air for as long as possible – don’t be afraid to get creative and try something different! Have someone film you while you take part. At the end, you nominate 4 friends to take part in the challenge.

Share your video on social media using the hashtag #KeepieUppieChallenge and ask everyone who watches to text ‘Football’ to 50300 to donate €4 to AsIAm. If they’d like to give more, they can donate here.

Prizes for the best videos

If raising money for a worthy cause wasn’t enough incentive, there are also prizes for the best videos posted during the challenge.

Show your skills during Arsenal V Chelsea at the Aviva Stadium

AsIAm are the official charity partners for the Arsenal V Chelsea game at the Aviva Stadium on 1 August 2018, and the people with the best videos will be invited onto the pitch at half-time to show off their skills.

The overall winner will win a free trip to a Premier League game next season.

Spot Prizes

AsIAm will also be giving away spot prizes for the best video at the end of each day. So far, spot prizes have included free tickets to the Arsenal V Chelsea game at the Aviva Stadium.

Autism in Ireland

According to AsIAm, 1 in 65 people in Ireland are autistic. Through their programmes, AsIAm hope to support Irish people who are Autistic by educating the schools, colleges and employers, creating more Autism-friendly spaces, and by providing leadership opportunities to people who are Autistic.

Donations

You can donate to AsIAm here or by texting 'FOOTBALL' to 50300. Texts cost €4 and AsIAm will receive a minimum of €3.60. Service provider LIKECHARITY
