You are the life-blood of, providing the energy and vision to make the website bigger and better every day. So, what’s the story? Well, we want you to tell us. It’s up to you to decide and to let it be known.

We believe that young people don't need to be given a voice. We already have one, and a strong one at that. What we need are channels and platforms for participation and active citizenship. makes this happen by taking youth participation seriously.

So if you’re 16-25 and have an interest in writing, photography or film making - then we want to hear from you. Be part of a national movement of young people dedicated to making a difference. SpunOut publishes opinion articles (and pics and vids and audio) from young people across the Republic of Ireland.

Get read by 1,000s of people every single day! Feed your ego, have a quality moan, expand a few minds, make us see it differently with the power of your views, advice, guidance, rant and raves!

What are the benefits?

  • You’ll get the chance to gain skills and experience
  • You can build your CV (extremely useful if you’re looking to impress a potential employer)
  • You’ll have your work online and viewed by thousands of people
  • You can help to influence, engage and inspire other young people

We'd also LOVE your help in these areas:

Content: If you enjoy writing, you could become one of our regular contributors. The pen is mightier than the sword and your words could reach thousands of other young people. We're also interest in videos and podcasts. It would also be a great way to build up clips if you are looking to study journalism or media.

Proof reading: We want young people to proofread our articles and give them a stamp of approval. No experience is necessary.

Reporter: We want to give you opportunities to attend events across the country, interviewing participants and putting together an article or video for the site. It's a great to develop interviewing and reporting skills.

Action Panel: Have your say in the direction and focus of, discuss topical issues with your peers and come up with innovative solutions.

Flash polls: Add your voice to our list of 1000 young opinion makers. You'll receive a text once a month on a topical issue. Replying with your answer which will help to inform of young people's opinions.
