This streamlined form of our Empathy Online course helps you learn how to respond to online harm with empathy and support the people around you in online spaces.
About the course
Empathy Online is a comprehensive, self-directed digital learning programme from Spunout.ie.

Developed with support from Google. Empathy Online aims to equip younger people with the self-compassion and empathy needed to reduce harmful behaviour online and to also empower people with the bystander intervention skills to intervene where appropriate.
Build your empathy toolkit for responding to harm and supporting others online
Empathy Online has been validated by experts and real young people to ensure all course content is accurate, up to date, useful, and relevant to young people’s needs. The course is flexible, interactive, and can be completed at the learner’s own pace, making it ideal for young people, but also volunteers or staff in organisations that work with young people or in online spaces.
