Safer Conversations Online
Is a free, self-directed online course created by spunout, with support from the HSE, to help young people stay safe online when interacting with content about suicide, self-harm, and eating disorders.
The internet plays a big role in young people’s lives. Many turn to it for information, connection, and support around difficult topics that affect their mental health. Safer Conversations Online was developed with young people and subject-matter experts to give learners practical tools to navigate these spaces with more confidence and care.
What You’ll Learn
The course includes short explainers, videos, lived-experience insights from young people, and interactive activities to support learning at your own pace.
You’ll explore how to:

This course is designed to support safer, more informed online conversations, for yourself and for others.
