EVE is a section of the HSE operating in the counties of Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare. It aims to provide community-based services for people living with difficulties or disabilities of various kinds. EVE services are provided through a network of services in 21 locations across three counties. The services range from vocational to rehabilitative and include some “clubhouses”. Clubhouses are local community organisations that support and assist people with mental health difficulties to live healthy, stable lives.

EVE services may be able to help you if you are living with any of the following:

  • Mental health difficulties
  • Intellectual difficulties
  • Asperger’s Syndrome
  • Physical disabilities
  • Sensory disabilities

Rehabilitative Training

One of the main EVE services is rehabilitative training for people with disabilities. This training aims to help people develop personal, social and work skills that will help them lead more independent lives. In order to take part, you will need to be registered with the Rehabilitation Training Guidance Service or your Local Health Office. You can find your Local Health Office here and contact details for your local EVE rehabilitative training providers here.

Vocational Training

EVE provides vocational training on behalf of SOLAS and the Education Training Board. Vocational training means getting certified in a particular skill that will be useful in work. EVE training includes some career planning and personal development content. You will need to be registered with SOLAS before applying. You can contact your local EVE vocational training providers here.

Occupational Services

These are services offered by EVE for people living with disabilities. Their purpose is to help people maintain and improve their skills and quality of life. They include services based in centres and within the community. You can find contact information for your nearest occupational services here.

Clubhouses

Clubhouses are member-led community organisations that help people with mental health difficulties. They offer life-long membership to support you in living a fulfilling and productive life on your own terms. You can find your local clubhouse here.

Community Based Services - HUB

EVE is currently test-running three “HUB” programmes. These are based on helping individuals grow and develop their positive strengths rather than focusing on whatever may be holding them back. A key worker is assigned to each person participating to offer support and help deal with service providers where necessary. They’ll help find opportunities for work and leisure activities within the local community based on what your real goals and aspirations. You can find contact details for your local HUB here
