The vegan movement is real and lots of restaurants are adopting the trend. I am constantly  discovering new places as I go. The list below are places that I have already been myself. I am sure there are many more, but I didn’t want to give my opinion if I haven’t eaten there yet. I hope you enjoy these if you head to any of the restaurants suggested below.

Cornucopia

Cornucopia is the place to go if your looking for a wholesome, homemade meal. They open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. They were established in 1986 and are located on Wicklow street. It is a family run company and they now have 120 seats. Not only is the lighting and scenery comfortable and relaxing, but the staff are super friendly too. Cornucopia are passionate about the environment too, with reusable coffee cups, biodegradable packaging and water bottles on sale. They also have a polar bear teddy in the stairway with a ‘free hugs’ sign, which you cannot skip.  Their menu 90% plant based.

POG

If you want vegan pancakes that are too pretty to eat, POG is the  place to go! Not only do they serve vegan pancakes with an array of toppings, but they also offer falafel wraps, vegan avocado toasts and salad bowls. There are now two branches in Dublin, one on Tara Street and the  other on Bachelors Walk. They offer great smoothies to go and a wide range of coffee.

Cedar Tree

If you love a falafel, or you’re not quite sure what they are, check out this Lebanese restaurant. There is a cosy interior with low lighting and friendly staff, they offer a few vegan dishes to choose from. The hummus is by far the best I have ever tried.

Blazing Salads

Blazing Salads offer a wide range of plant based dishes. You won’t be stuck for choice on snacks. There is no dine in option, but the food is worth the experience. Located on Drury street and now providing frozen meals to go too! Gluten free options are also available.

Brother Hubbard

Brother Hubbard are not primarily a vegan restaurant, but they have a few options to cater for their vegan customers. Brother Hubbard is a huge restaurant on Capel street which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They now have a take out store located right beside the restaurant, also on Capel street. I was impressed with their vegan cake options too. They also have another restaurant on Harrington street.

Milanos

You do not have to give up pizza to be vegan.  Milanos are now offering lots of vegan choices on their menu, including starters, mains and desserts. I was hesitant at first, but since trying the vegan pizza a couple of times, it is no different to the usual pizza they offer. Milanos offer Italian style pizzas which are made fresh to order. There are many branches located throughout Dublin. They now even have vegan dough balls, which are soft, warm little balls of dough with a trio of dips to choose from…delightful.

Ko-San

KoSan are a new gastric bar, open in Swords village. They provide Thai food with a luxurious dining experience. They have lots of vegan options to choose from. They provide spring rolls, vegan curries and stir fries, just to mention a few. If you like spicy, flavoursome  food, I would definitely recommend checking them out.

Nut Butter

If you’re looking for funky seating and fresh food, this is your café. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, they offer good value vegan food. From salads, smoothie bowls and late night plates, you won’t be stuck for choice. It’s right beside the grand canal theatre, so if you have a show, this could be the perfect pre-dinner eatery. They offer online orders now too.
