The Children's Rights Alliance have announced a series of legal advice clinics for children, young people, and families as part of their Access to Justice Initiative. The clinics will run all across Ireland from October – December, with the potential for more dates to be added.

Access to Justice initiative

The Access to Justice Initiative aims to make children, young people, and families aware of their rights through easily-accessible, free legal information and advice. This includes helping young people understand what their rights are, how to know if their rights have been breached, and what legal remedies are available to them if they have been denied their rights.

The Children’s Rights Alliance want young people to understand their rights and protections under Irish law, especially if they are faced with the justice system, whether they are a victim, witness or defendant, or going through the family courts.

The free legal advice clinics will provide one-to-one legal advice from a solicitor in locations around the country. The Children’s Rights Alliance also have a dedicated information line available for those seeking advice.
