  • Head of Engagement and Participation
  • November 2017

Timmy is from Tipperary, and is the Head of Engagement and Participation at SpunOut.ie. The role is the primary recruiter of young people and seeks to ensure young people are facilitated in taking up leadership roles within the organisation.

Timmy’s passions are based around human rights, social justice and sport, with all having a high youth focus. He has experience with youth organisations such as Foroige and Crosscare in both the urban and rural context and has done voluntary placements with youth in places such as the West Bank in Palestine and Calais refugee camp. He interned with Amnesty International and recently completed a Masters in International Relations.

GAA has also played an important part in his life, with the highlight been the winning of an All Ireland Senior Hurling medal in 2010. Along with continuing to play, Timmy is still heavily involved in the sport by working as a performance coach with a number of teams.

He also loves engaging with new and diverse groups of people and tasting many of Dublin’s hidden coffee gems.
