FemFest is a conference run by the National Women's Council of Ireland for young women aged 16-25. FemFest 2019 will discuss campaigns for universal contraception, young women’s mental health and equality issues young women face today.

What is happening at FemFest 2019?

FemFest will combine talks from a line-up of different speakers, including activists, journalists and mental health advocates, with audience engagement. Speakers at the event include:

  • Siobhán McSweeney, actor and activist
  • Louise O' Neill, author
  • Roe McDermott, journalist
  • Dil Wickremasinghe, broadcaster and mental health advocate
  • Eileen Flynn, National Traveller Women's Forum

There will also be a performance from Avoca Reaction.

When is it?

FemFest is taking place this Saturday, the 30th of November.

Where is it on?

FemFest 2019 is taking place in Radisson Blu Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin 8.

How much does it cost?

FemFest 2019 is free but you have to register on Eventbrite.
