In 2020, SpunOut.ie will be running a campaign which aims to support young people to make informed decisions about their sexual health so you can have happy and healthy sexual experiences. We’re looking for young people (aged 16-25) across Ireland to add your voice to the campaign!

Get involved in the campaign

  • Do you think we need to change the conversation about sex in Ireland? What do you think could help people have more honest conversations?
  • What has helped you if you’ve experienced mental, physical or sexual health problems as a result of sexual experiences?
  • Are you in a sexual relationship which makes you feel happy and safe? Do you want to talk about this to help others?
  • What information do you think young people need to have happy and healthy sex lives?
  • Do you have Chemsex? What was the experience like? Do you have any advice for others taking drugs and having sex?
  • Do you have any advice for someone starting to take PEP or PrEP?

We believe that young people across Ireland can help support each other by their sharing stories, lived experiences, advice and opinions. If you’re between 16 and 25 years old and living in Ireland, we’d love to hear from you if you’re interested in writing an article or making a video.

Do I need writing experience?

You do not need any writing experience. We’ll help you out every step of the way giving you feedback and suggestions for your piece. Your piece will be posted on SpunOut.ie and our social media so that thousands of young people across Ireland will feel more supported and encouraged to seek help.

What’s the campaign about?

We want to encourage young people to have happier and healthier sex lives (whether you chose to have sex or not) by opening up conversations about sexual stigma, sex and your mental health, pleasure, and how to look after your sexual health within relationships.

If you choose to have sex, we want you to be able to do so in a way in which is right and safe for you, so that you can have positive sexual experiences and be happy in the choices that you make. Giving young people positive sexual health information helps reduce stigma and get people extra support should they need it.

Throughout the campaign, we’ll be posting articles and videos with lots of information and personal stories from young people on our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat.

Get in touch if you’re interested in getting involved with the campaign or finding out more:
