National Student Housing Survey is a national survey about the housing situation of students across the country. It focuses on five areas:

  • Demographics;
  • Accommodation status and conditions;
  • Satisfaction with current accommodation;
  • Past experiences and preferences of all students living and studying in Ireland.

What to expect?

The survey will take around 20 minutes to complete. It is divided into 6 modules: current study situation, current housing situation, finding a place, satisfaction with your accommodation, accommodation conditions and past experiences. Each module consists of single-choice, multiple-choice and open-ended questions. All entries are anonymous and the results will be presented only in an aggregated format.

Why participate?

Housing crisis in Ireland has had a negative impact on studying trends, academic performance and mental health of students. USI wants to gather evidence of the current student accommodation that will feed into a report on current student housing situation, which will serve as evidence for student accommodation strategy that is being drafted at the moment.
