An awareness conference to promote positive mental health and suicide prevention in Ireland will be held at 8.30pm on Friday, 27th September 2013, at UCD Cinema. The event organiser, Grainne Ferris, is hoping to raise awareness of these issues and reduce the stigma around mental health.

Ms Ferris said: “If there's even one person at the event who is perhaps prompted to help someone they know, then I'll consider the evening a success.”  The event is open to the public and has a wide range of speakers on the night, check them out:
