Alcohol Action Ireland have collaborated with research institutes across Ireland to conduct a study about people’s alcohol use during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The restrictions brought into place by the Irish Government to slow the spread of COVID-19 have caused huge changes to people’s daily lives, including how people are able to drink alcohol with pubs and restaurants being closed. As these changes have not been experienced before, this survey aims to see what impact these restrictions have had on people’s drinking behaviour.

Take part in the Alcohol Action Ireland COVID-19 survey

How to take part in the survey:

  • Filling in the survey should take no more than 10 minutes of your time
  • Taking part in the study is completely voluntary and you can choose not to respond to any questions or stop the survey altogether at any time
  • Your name or any other information that identifies you as a person will not be recorded in any way with your responses

The aim of this study is to gather information from across Europe that can help researchers better understand how people consume alcohol during times of pandemic, and what impact this can have on their health. This information can help support evidence-based policy action and decisions in times of crises to protect health and well-being.

Take part in the survey now.
