Name: Declan Burgess

Age: 23

Preferred pronouns: Him

Party: Fine Gael

Local Electoral Area: Cashel-Tipperary

Is this your first time running? Yes I’m a first-time candidate

What are your reasons for running as a young person in politics?

I believe Politics needs new people. As a young person who has been heavily involved in local clubs and organisations in West Tipperary, I know the issues affecting our towns and villages in the Premier County. My family and I are new to politics. However, I feel that’s an asset. Tipperary County Council needs a new perspective and a fresh approach. My priorities include; Reaching our Tourism and Business potential, Mental Health Awareness, Roads and Broadband Development, Safer and Cleaner Communities, Youth & Community Work and Affordable & Quality Housing.
