The event is happening in Dublin and is open to young women aged 16-25.
FemFest is a conference run by the National Women’s Council of Ireland for young women aged 16-25. FemFest 2019 will discuss campaigns for universal contraception, young women’s mental health and equality issues young women face today.
What is happening at FemFest 2019?
FemFest will combine talks from a line-up of different speakers, including activists, journalists and mental health advocates, with audience engagement. Speakers at the event include:
- Siobhán McSweeney, actor and activist
- Louise O’ Neill, author
- Roe McDermott, journalist
- Dil Wickremasinghe, broadcaster and mental health advocate
- Eileen Flynn, National Traveller Women’s Forum
There will also be a performance from Avoca Reaction.
