On Wednesday November 11th, is running a short online training session on the topic of ‘Body Image and Self-Esteem’. The free training is aimed at those working with young people aged between 16 and 25 who would like to get a better understanding of how to promote positive body image and self-esteem for young people that they work with.

What will the training cover?

This interactive workshop will cover:

  • Research on body image and the self-esteem of young people in Ireland
  • What impacts on body image
  • Promoting body positivity
  • Building self-esteem
  • Tips and activities for discussing body image and self-esteem with young people
  • Available supports and resources

Participants will also be provided with a comprehensive facilitation guide following each sessions so you are equipped with the skills and knowledge to be able to run workshops with the young people you work with going forward.

How do I sign up?

You can sign up through EventBrite to book your place. Spaces are limited so early booking is advised. If there is enough interest for another session we will run the training again later this year. The training will be run by Outreach and Training Officer, Sinead Beirne.
