Interested in attending a major youth mental health conference?

The organisers are offering to cover registration costs for a limited number of young people

Dublin will be hosting a major youth mental health conference this year and there are limited places for young people to attend with most of their costs covered.

The Fourth International Youth Mental Health Conference will be taking place from 24-26 September 2017 in the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin. This promises to be a major event with expert speakers and high-level discussion of one of the most important issues for modern society. The overal theme of the conference is "Future-Proofing Youth Mental Health".

If you’re interested in attending, the organisers have announced a number of special bursaries which young people can apply to in order to help them attend. These bursaries come in two kinds: registration bursaries which cover the cost of the attendance fee, and Registration and Accommodation Bursaries which also include a two night stay at the conference venue in Dublin. Unfortunately the organisers are not able to cover travel costs to and from the conference.

How to apply

The closing date to get your application in for a bursary is Monday 15th May 2017, and you should know if you’ve been successful by the middle of June. You can read up on the bursary requirements here and download an application form from this link.

Completed application forms should be sent to Nick Fava at [email protected], while any questions or comments about the process can go to Craig Hodges at [email protected].

So if you’re interested in youth mental health issues and want to attend a world-class event in the capital, why not send in your application?
