New Roots
The New Roots series showcases the stories of people living in Ireland from different ethnic, cultural or religious backgrounds.
During Anti-Racism Month in March, we launched our latest Voices series, ‘New Roots.’
New Roots showcases the stories of people living in Ireland from different ethnic, cultural or religious backgrounds. It highlights the experiences of people who immigrated to Ireland, as well as those who were born here to parents from different countries.
New Roots includes lived experiences and opinions from young people living in Ireland while experiencing racism, and navigating migration, identity and belonging.
It highlights the experiences of people from various minoritised groups to understand the cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity within Ireland today. Some of the minoritised identities represented through the pieces are Black, Muslim, Asian and Indian.
This series came about as a space for spunout Voices contributors to share their needs, wants, and dreams as they live in Ireland.
